The HUMODAN project will produce two main demonstrators that will display the capabilities of the systems developed during the project
The main goal of this demonstrator is the Real Time 3D Motion Reconstruction
This demonstrator has been divides into two main phases:
This demonstrator allows a Non-invasive optical 3D human motion tracking for Virtual Environments:
The interests of each part are:
Phase 1: demonstrates new innovative interface for engineering
applications. The following picture displays the Workbench where
the demonstration will take place.
This demonstrator will capture the users movement. The motion will serve to animate the upper body part of an avatar.

The user motion will serve as input for a 3D interactive modeling tool.

Phase 2: demonstrates a new interaction concept and can be demonstrated to the general public, which is very important for the project dissemination. This demonstrator

The main goal of this demonstrator is the Automatic Non Real Time 3D Motion Reconstruction of the Full Human Body
Non real time realistic human body motion 3D reconstruction and real time simple interaction system:
Commercial value:
This demonstrators features the development of an interactive TV-Show based on the interaction of two children in a virtual environment and with a virtual showman.
The showman is a virtual character featuring a Gorilla, displaying thus, the capabilities of the HUMODAN system to animate Humanoid characters.
The children interact with the 3D-environment using their hands
